This scarf had been intended as a Christmas present for my Dad & was nearly finished in time. However he then went abroad just before Christmas for a few months so it sat in a corner unfinished. He's now back in the country & loves his scarf.

The yarn was ideal for this pattern as it's single ply really suited the stitch pattern & was so soft after washing.

Ooh... lovely!
I am so not showing hubby this. He's been on at me for a new scarf for ages, but I can't get excited about knitting such a long, warm item right now.

I made one of these for my daughter last year - lovely pattern isn't it :-)

It's a sad fact that your Dad will get a lot of wear out of his lovely woolly scarf in the middle of this terrible English summer!
