Braving Lace

A couple of weeks ago I was lucky enough to take part in a Nancy Bush workshop on Estonian Lace. Apart from a few pairs of lace socks I've never been brave enough to partake in lace but this is soon to change:

I used some Jaeger Baby Merino 4ply from my stash & really enjoyed the challenge:

Next I'm taking part in the Socktopus Mystery Shawl KAL

The first clue is to be released via Twitter on Monday but here is my swatch using Knit Picks Gloss in Concord Grape:

You actually took a workshop with Nancy Bush!!!! How exciting! Now I'll have to watch your shawl progress to see how it comes out.

I did a mystery shawl once, but found it very frustrating. Apparently I prefer to see what it should look like before I knit it. Then I can see any mistakes easier.
