My Jaywalker

is back on track thanks to Cara - I suppose it was a bit brave/silly (delete as appropriate) to do a patterned sock as a second ever pair of handknitted socks but I will get there eventually.

How do you find the 30cm Addis? I was thinking of getting some, but was worried they might be hard to knit with as that seems a very short length!

This probably isn't very helpful to you as you're so far into the sock but I know the pattern has been rewritten to make a larger sock as many people were finding it too narrow. The new sizes should be on Magknits or on Grumperina's site.

Daisy - I'm ok on the 30cm's but when I buy more will probably get 40cm's or even 60cm's. The latter as I eventually want to be able to knit two socks together. I do like the fact that they're tiny & can be wrapped around the ball of yarn making them very transportable!

Mary - thanks for that. I found this out a few days ago on the KAL (button on the side bar). The pattern is meant to be 'snug' but how snug is snug? I can get the sock on my foot but it does have to be tugged. The heel is comfortable though. The measurement is 9" but I'm not sure where you have to measure on your foot - is it around the widest part of the foot ie ankle/heel or across the bridge of your foot around the sole & back up?
btw - a belated Happy Birthday!

Glad you're back on track! My socks need to be gently tugged over the heel, but they fit just right once they're on! Can't wait to see them finished.
