Lady Eleanor on the rocks....

Total disaster - of the 10 balls of Silk Garden that I have left 6 are useless

I had just joined a new ball of yarn & picking up the stitches started to knit with it. I'm not rough with yarn & have never had a fibre break on me before but this stuff is like cotton wool. I checked the rest & only half of my original purchase is usable.

I'll be ringing Celtic Cove tomorrow morning to see if they have any usable Silk Garden left in the same dyelot or ask for a refund.

Am Totally Gutted

I found that Kureyon was the same - it broke if I dared to tug it too hard! I just spit-spliced it together and carried on; is that an option, perhaps, rather than wasting the yarn?

I feel so sorry for you - really hope you get something sorted. Hope you hadn't knitted so far that it will put you off?

Nooooooooo - much wailing and gnashing and rending of garments on your behalf!

No! Can't believe it as you were speeding along with this project. I too had a few problems with Kureyon when I used it - snapped if I pulled too hard. Hope you can get it sorted as your Lady Eleanor is looking gorgeous.

This is breath taking for all the wrong reasons! I'm so sorry it has come to this. I hope it gets resolved.

I hope you can get it sorted! I am not a fan of Noro, I think they charge too much and use cheap fibres to spin with. The colours are pretty but it is just not a quality yarn at all!
